First Day of School

As far as first days of school go, today's ranked somewhere in the middle. I am happy to be back at school and seeing all my friends I have been away from out here in the boonies. I also was quite in a state of shock that Vanessa is in grade 12 and I am in grade 11. Boy oh boy did that ever sneak up on me! Also, there was no easy fun day, which seemed strange. All the teachers are acting strange, they are afraid of the new principal ; ) The work is not much more difficult than last year. We have only three kids in our French 20 class, which I found odd. I suppose only those of us that want to possibly be Prime Minister someday want to take French...
This year I hope to accomplish five subjects with a 95% average so I have a good chance of getting a scholarship wherever I apply for one. I want RISK to be continued. I also want to go curling some more, super fun! Did I mention I have Brent's old Physics 20 textbook? I plan toi use it for voodoo and make Brent cut his hair.

Have a good day

Back to School

To anyone who is reading this,

School is starting in less than a week. I sure hope Risk club is still going this year. I look forward to seeing all of my friends when school re-opens. Hopefully this year we will have a real drama production, and not just a quick, half-hour play that had no real plot or movement in it. By the way, I have a kitty. I don’t like his name, but my brother has already named him it, so I can’t change it. He is cute and adorable and now is my favorite cat. He is orange! I hope everyone finds it easy to go back to school this year.
Enjoy the last few days of break,
Edward

Barley Dust --- Itchy!

Have you ever had to shovel barley from a bin? If not, let me fill you in... It is hot and dusty. Afterwards you become very itchy for days and finally after vigorous scrubbing and large quantities of soap, you are no longer itchy, but you have sensative skin. Sounds fun, doesn't it?
Well, my 16th birthday went over well (July 28th). I am waiting now for the drivers test in September. Wish me good luck! I received a cell phone for my birthday and some money from my aunt and uncle, and my grandparents. Now I am becoming proficient at text messaging.
Our trip to Calgary was fun. I did get a watch, but no digital camera, oh well! It is really hard to get a hotel room anywhere in Alberta during the week... we went from Calgary to Kindersley in search of a hotel room to stay the night in on the way back! While in Kindersley we stayed at the Kindersley Inn, which is a great place if you like watersliding and nice rooms. I was impressed. While we stayed, there was a thunderstorm which was quite big, I enjoyed it immensly.
I finished reading Harry Potter, which I loved and finished in 3 days. It was intense and fast paced, I couldn't put it down! Some incredible twists and quite a bit was revealed, I won't say anything though because I don't want to ruin it in case anyone is still reading it.
Right now I have most of my school supplies and I am waiting to get to Saskatoon to get new reading material. I am sure burning through books at an alarming rate. I also need a haircut.
Before I know it, it will be time for school, which will be a disappointment, but I still enjoy returning to school. Grade 11, wow. I need to work hard this coming year. A few more supplies and I'll be ready to begin school again.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, it is nearly half finished on the calendar. I have been enjoying myself and doing a lot of mowing. I am enjoying the brief reprieve from the heat, although I love the heat, it was definately time to take a break.

Enjoy Summer,
Edward
